Bureau Of Indian Standards (BIS) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Consumer affairs, Food and public Distribution, Government of India. Bureau Of Indian Standards (BIS) is responsible for activities in the field of standardization , product and system certification, Hallmarking and Gold/Silver jewellery, Laboratory testing etc. Bureau Of Indian Standards (BIS) recruitment for the 115 posts. Bureau Of Indian Standards (BIS) invites ONLINE application for the recruitment of 'Scientist-B' post between 06.12.2013 to 24.12.2013. No other mode of application are accepted by the Bureau Of Indian Standards (BIS) office. Other details like Education qualification,Age, pay scale and selection procedure as mentioned below.
Qualification: Candidates should have complete Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology from recognized Institute/University or its equivalent with minimum 60% marks aggregate for General and OBC category candidates. Minimum 50% for SC/ST candidates.
Age: Candidates must be between 21 to 27 years of age as on 01.12.2013. Relaxation for reserved category candidates as per rules.
Pay-Scale: Rs.15600-39100/- + Grade pay Rs. 5400/- plus allowance as applicable. The indicative gross salary as on date at New Delhi will be Rs. 52280/-
Selection procedure: Eligible candidates will be required to appear in an ONLINE examination at their own expenses. Short-listed candidates will be interviewed for which travelling expenses upto second class train fare for to and fro journeys shall be payable. Candidates who have been shortlisted in the ONLINE examination will subsequently be called for an Interview.
